Olesya V. Konkova

Biography:

After graduating from the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University in 2002 and during her postgraduate studies, she worked as a teacher-psychologist in a preschool institution.

In 2002-2005, she studied full-time postgraduate studies in the specialty "Developmental Psychology, Acmeology" at the Department of Psychology of the BSPU named after M. Tank. In 2011, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Psychological Sciences. After completing postgraduate studies at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank in 2011, she defended her PhD thesis on the topic: "The genesis of truthful and untruthful behavior depending on cognitive development in preschool age." He holds the academic title of "associate professor" in the specialty "Psychology" (Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, 2013).

From 2003 to 2004, she worked as a teacher at the Department of Age and Pedagogical Psychology of BSPU named after M. Tank, from 2004 to 2008 – senior lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Continuing Education at the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining at BSPU named after M. Tank.

Since 2008, he has been an associate professor at the Department of General and Clinical Psychology of the Belarusian State University. For 2018, he teaches the following disciplines: "Psychological diagnostics", "Methods of statistical processing and data analysis" for students of the specialty "Social Work" and "Psychological diagnostics of personality and group", "Methods of statistical processing and analysis in psychological research", "Crisis Psychology", "Family Psychology and family counseling" for undergraduates of the specialty "Psychological counseling and psychocorrection".

Full member of the All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League. Full member of the International Society for the Study of the Development of Knowledge (ISSBD) and the Association of Professors of Slavic Countries.

She completed advanced training at the Republican Institute of Higher Education (2006), the Republican Institute of Vocational Education (2009), the Research Institute of Physical Culture and Sports with the support of the NOC RB OPPL (2010-2011), the Institute of System Solutions (ISL) and the Academy of System Arrangements (dAA) (2013-2015), the German Society for System Consulting and Training (2016), Institute of Integrative Family Therapy (2016-2017). Graduated from the Belarusian National Technical University with a degree in retraining "Management of vocational education institutions" (2018).
Systemic family therapy was chosen as the main specialization (the Center for Systemic Counseling and Training "Synergia", St. Petersburg). In line with the system-phenomenological and system-constructivist directions, she studied at the Academy of System Arrangements from the German Society of System Arrangements (die Aufsteller Akademie from DGfS, Cologne) and at the German Society for System Consulting and Training (ConSystA, Stuttgart). The second specialization is perinatal psychology and psychotherapy in the perinatal period (Institute of Integrative Family Therapy, Moscow).
Additionally, she studied sand therapy, Erickson therapy and Erickson hypnosis, DPDG, the use of metaphorical maps in working with family problems and narrative psychotherapy, family mediation, problem-oriented psychotherapy, systemic business coaching.

After completing postgraduate studies at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank in 2011, she defended her PhD thesis on the topic: "The genesis of truthful and untruthful behavior depending on cognitive development in preschool age."
Carries out research work in line with research in the Department of General and Clinical Psychology within the framework of the stated topic: "Leadership qualities and the big five personality traits of representatives of professions of the type "man-man". Participates in the examination of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Psychological Sciences.

He is the author and co-author of more than 60 scientific publications, including one monograph, two workshops and ten educational and methodological manuals.

 

Public activities:

  • Member of the International Society for the Study of Behavior Development (ASSBD).
  • Member of the Association of Professors of Slavic Countries.
  • Head of the scientific problem group dealing with issues of family and perinatal psychology.

O. V. Konkova's research interests include: the study of symptoms, conditions and behavioral patterns in the context of family history; the study of psychological factors affecting the reproductive health of a married couple and the definition of approaches and methods of psychocorrection; psychological diagnostics of personality and group.
