I graduated from the Faculty of Journalism(with honors), Kazakh State University, and continued with postgraduate studies in Sociology at Belarusian State University. In 1986, I defended my thesis in Sociology of Mass Communication.
In 1996, I was a fellow at the University of Lincoln (then University of Humberside) in Hull, United Kingdom, within a TEMPUS project on the development of higher education in communication in Belarus, followed by fellowship at the University of Malaga, Spain, in 2003. For many years, I also worked as a research fellow and data analyst at the Research Laboratory "NOVAK."

- Methodology and Methods of Communication Research
- Qualitative Methods
- Consumer Behavior and Consumer Research Methods
In total, I published more than 70 scientific articles, chapters in textbooks and monographs, as well as encyclopedia articles. I have co-authored numerous research reports and presented them for the media.
